Man, Street Fighter II Turbo - Hyper Fighting on SNES is still one of the best ways to play this classic. The second you boot it up, that iconic character select screen hits—Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, all looking slightly sharper and faster than the original SFII. And they are faster—Turbo mode cranks up the speed just enough to make every round feel frantic without losing control.
I always go for Ken first—his flaming dragon punch just feels right—but half the fun is figuring out which fighter clicks with you. Dhalsim’s stretchy limbs? Zangief’s brutal spinning pile driver? The moves are simple to pull off but take ages to master, especially when you’re up against someone who knows what they’re doing. And that announcer yelling "PERFECT!" when you wipe the floor with someone? Never gets old.
It’s got that perfect arcade feel, right down to the slightly pixelated fireballs and the way Vega’s claw scrapes across the screen. If you’ve got a buddy and two controllers, it’s an absolute time warp to 1993. Just try not to throw your pad when someone spams Hadoukens.
