3-D Worldrunner on the NES is basically Space Harrier but with more frustration. The pseudo-3D effect was kinda cool for 1987, but man, this game doesn’t play fair. You’re constantly guessing whether jumps are even possible—some pits are just slightly too wide, and you won’t know until you’re already falling. And if anything touches you? Instant death.
Every four levels, you fight a boss, but getting there feels like work. Memorizing enemy patterns helps, but it’s not the fun kind of challenge—more like trial-and-error punishment. Even back then, better games existed. Maybe worth a quick look for nostalgia, but don’t expect to stick around long.
