About Dr. Mario
Dr. Mario came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed and published by Nintendo. It arrived during a time when the NES library was full of straightforward, addictive games you could pick up and play without a long commitment.
You control Dr. Mario himself, who tosses vitamins from the top of the screen into a bottle filled with viruses. Your goal is to clear all the viruses by matching groups of four or more of the same color, lining up the falling capsules with the ones already settled below. The core mechanics involve rotating the two-colored vitamins as they fall and planning their placement to create chain reactions. The game starts calmly but speeds up relentlessly, demanding quicker decisions as the viruses multiply. It feels like a race against a fever that just keeps spiking.
