Ah, the original Mario Bros.—not to be confused with Super Mario Bros. This is the arcade-style one where you’re just clearing screens of enemies by flipping them over and kicking them away. No princess to save, no mushrooms to grow big—just you, Luigi (if you’ve got a buddy), and a whole lot of turtles and crabs to knock out.

The controls are simple: arrows to move, Z and X to jump and punch (or whatever the NES buttons mapped to). It’s way more frantic than it looks, especially when those fireballs start bouncing around. And yeah, the physics feel a little janky now, but that’s part of the charm. You’ll probably die a lot at first trying to time those flips just right.

Honestly, it’s more fun with two players—nothing like accidentally bumping into your brother and sending him into an enemy. Classic sibling rivalry material.
