Wizardry VI on SNES is one of those old-school dungeon crawlers that doesn’t hold your hand—you start by rolling up a party of six characters, and good luck figuring out which classes actually work together at first. I remember spending way too much time tweaking stats before even stepping into the first dungeon.
The combat’s turn-based, grid-based movement, and brutally unforgiving if you rush in. You’ll be mapping corridors on graph paper (or just getting lost constantly), fighting weird monsters, and praying your priest doesn’t run out of healing spells. The Cosmic Forge stuff gives it this weird cosmic horror twist, which was pretty wild for an SNES RPG.
It’s definitely not for everyone—the interface is clunky by modern standards, and some of the puzzles are downright cruel—but if you like deep party management and that classic "save every five steps" tension, it’s a gem. Just don’t expect any mercy from the game.
