About Spider-man And The X-men In Arcade's Revenge (4 Man Version)
Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by Software Creations. It was part of that early wave of SNES games where developers were still figuring out how to use the hardware, often resulting in titles that felt ambitious but a bit rough around the edges. You get a game featuring popular Marvel characters, but it doesn't have the polish of some later releases on the system.
You control Spider-Man and four X-Men (Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, and Gambit) across separate stages. Your main goal is to rescue your teammates from Arcade's Murderworld, navigating through screen-by-screen platforming levels filled with traps and enemies. Each character has a unique attack; Spider-Man webslings, Wolverine uses his claws, and so on. The game is known for its high difficulty, with unforgiving enemy placement and instant death pits that require precise jumps.
