Wacky Worlds is one of those Genesis games that just oozes personality from the moment you press start. You pick between four weird little characters (I always went with the blue guy who looked like a rejected Muppet) and suddenly you're bouncing through levels made of candy, dodging sentient gumballs that try to roll you over.

The first level tricks you into thinking it's just cute - until you realize the lollipop platforms dissolve if you stand on them too long. By level 3 you're in some bizarre space zone where the gravity keeps flipping upside down, and that's when it really clicks how creative the level design is. The music's got that classic early 90s synth charm too - the candy land theme still gets stuck in my head sometimes.

It's not perfect - some of the later jumps require pixel-perfect timing that'll make you groan - but there's something special about how unapologetically weird it is. They don't make platformers this colorful and unpredictable anymore.
