Oh man, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie on Sega Genesis—talk about a nostalgia trip. You start off picking your Ranger (I always went with the Red Ranger, obviously) and immediately dive into side-scrolling beat-em-up action. The sprites are surprisingly decent for a licensed game, and you get to wreck Putty Patrollers with those satisfying punch combos.
It follows the movie plot loosely—you'll fight through city streets, then hop into the Zords for some clunky but fun vehicle sections. The Megazord boss fights are the highlight, even if the controls feel a bit stiff. Not gonna lie, some of the later levels get cheap with enemy spam, but the music slaps in that classic 16-bit way.
Definitely one of the better Power Rangers games from that era, even if it’s rough around the edges.
