Remember that old-school Power Rangers game on the Sega Genesis? The one where you could finally live out your childhood fantasy of yelling "Morphin' Time!" and kicking Putty butt? Yeah, this is that game.

You start off picking your Ranger—I always went with the Red Ranger because, well, Jason was the leader—and then it's straight into side-scrolling action. The sprites are chunky and colorful, just like the show, and you've got your basic punch-kick combos at first. But the real fun starts when you morph and suddenly your attacks get way more flashy.

Some levels throw you into the Megazord for these weird first-person boss fights that feel totally different from the rest of the game. They're janky as hell, but in that nostalgic way where you can't help but smile. The music? Pure 16-bit cheese, exactly what you'd expect from a licensed game in the '90s.

It's not the deepest beat 'em up out there, but if you grew up watching the show, there's something magical about seeing those pixelated Rangers jump off the screen. Just don't expect it to hold up like Streets of Rage or anything.
