Sonic Classic Heroes – Rise Of The Chaotix Game

Ever wish you could team up Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in the classic Genesis games? That’s basically what Sonic Classic Heroes – Rise of the Chaotix does, but with a twist. You pick two characters at a time (Sonic’s speed + Tails’ flight is my go-to), and swap between them mid-level to solve puzzles or reach hidden areas. The Chaotix crew shows up too—Vector’s weirdly fun to play as, even if his hitbox feels massive.
It’s a romhack, so the physics are tweaked just enough to feel fresh without ruining that perfect Genesis-era momentum. Some of the new boss fights get chaotic (pun intended), especially when you’re juggling character abilities. The sprite work for the new stuff blends in surprisingly well—no jarring fan-art vibes here.
If you’ve played the original Sonic games to death, this gives you a reason to revisit Green Hill Zone with new tricks. Just watch out for those bottomless pits when you’re stuck playing as Espio.
