Remember when every licensed game in the '90s tried to be Street Fighter II? This Power Rangers brawler for the Genesis was one of those, but honestly? It's not half bad. You pick your Ranger (I always went with the Red one, obviously) and punch through Putty Patrollers before facing off against Rita's monsters in proper one-on-one fights.
The versus mode is where it gets fun—nothing like settling playground arguments by making the Pink Ranger uppercut Goldar into next week. The Game Gear version's basically the same thing, just squintier. Banpresto nailed the cheesy TV show vibe, complete with those digitized "HYAH!" sound effects from the show.
It's janky in that very specific '90s way, but if you grew up with spandex-clad karate teens, this hits the nostalgia sweet spot.
