Okay, so The Krion Conquest is basically what happens if Mega Man and a weird, underground Metroid had a baby—but with way more bouncing enemies. You play as this tiny armored warrior (who honestly looks like they borrowed their helmet from a sci-fi garage sale) and dive into caves packed with creatures that just won’t stop hopping at you. Some shoot, some explode, and some just seem to exist to annoy you.
The controls are tight, but don’t expect this to be a walk in the park. You’ve got a punch, a projectile, and a whole lot of patience to learn enemy patterns. The first level alone throws bouncing blobs, flying things, and these weird bomb guys at you—like the game’s testing how badly you want to reach the surface.
If you’re into NES-era action with a side of “why is everything trying to kill me?”, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck on that one jump in Level 3.
