Man, Taz-Mania on Game Boy takes me back. You start off as Taz just tearing through the outback, spinning like a furry tornado and chomping everything in sight—bushes, enemies, random rocks (because why not?). The controls are simple, but good luck trying to stop once you get rolling. Literally.
The levels are these short, chaotic bursts of platforming where you’re either chasing down a kangaroo thief or just trying not to fall into pits while spinning uncontrollably. The music’s got that classic Game Boy bleep-bloop energy, and the sprites are surprisingly expressive for how tiny they are. Taz even does this little victory dance when you finish a level, which never gets old.
It’s not the deepest game, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about turning into a destructive ball of fluff for 10 minutes at a time. If you’ve got nostalgia for the era or just want to see what a Tasmanian devil simulator looks like, this one’s a riot.
