Pokemon Green : English Game

Pokémon Green in English? Yeah, it’s basically the OG Japanese version of Pokémon Blue—same weird sprites, same glitches, same charm. You start off picking Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander (always a tough call), then wander through tall grass hoping you don’t run into another Pidgey. The graphics are rough by today’s standards, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about that grainy Game Boy screen and the tinny battle music.
It’s a nostalgia trip, honestly. The translation’s a little janky in places, but that just adds to the vibe. You’ll spend way too much time grinding levels outside Viridian City, and the MissingNo. glitch still works if you’re into that. If you’ve only played the later games, this one feels barebones—no held items, no abilities, just pure 1996 monster-collecting chaos.
Still, there’s a reason people keep coming back to it.
