Batman on Game Boy is basically the animated series in your hands—you get that slick art style, the jazzy soundtrack, and all the villains you’d expect. You start off as Batman (obviously), punching thugs and swinging around Gotham, but Robin shows up later if you want to switch things up. The levels are these tight little side-scrollers with just enough gadgets to feel like the Dark Knight without overcomplicating it.
First time I played, I got wrecked by Two-Face’s goons because I kept trying to brawl like a maniac instead of using batarangs. Lesson learned. The boss fights are the real highlight—Joker’s carnival level still gives me nostalgia sweats. It’s not the deepest game, but it nails the vibe perfectly.
