Okay, so Superman on GB is one of those Game Boy titles that sounds cooler than it actually is—don’t get me wrong, flying around as Superman in 8-bit is kinda awesome at first. You start off hovering over Metropolis, punching robots and dodging lasers like it’s no big deal (because, well, you’re Superman). The controls are a little stiff, though—expect some awkward moments where you accidentally dive into buildings instead of soaring past them.
Lex Luthor’s up to his usual nonsense, and you’ll bounce between rescuing civilians and punching his goons. The pixel art’s charming in that classic Game Boy way, but don’t expect anything flashy. Honestly, half the fun is just seeing how long you can stay airborne before the game throws something weird at you, like a sudden swarm of drones or a boss fight in a cramped hallway. It’s janky, but in that nostalgic "I played this as a kid" kind of way.
If you’re into retro superhero games, it’s worth a spin—just don’t expect it to hold up like the comics. You’ll either love it or wonder why Superman can’t turn left properly.
