Man, this one's a weird little relic from the Game Boy era. You start off as Spider-Man, swinging through these cramped, flickery levels that feel way harder than they should be—until you realize Arcade's rigged the whole thing like some messed-up carnival. Then boom, you're suddenly playing as Wolverine, slashing through robots with his claws (which sounds cooler than it controls, honestly).
Cyclops and Storm show up later, each with their own janky mechanics—Storm’s flight controls like a brick with a parachute, but her lightning looks surprisingly decent for a Game Boy screen. The whole thing’s got this cheap arcade vibe, like Arcade himself designed the levels to annoy you. Some of the platforming’s brutal, especially with the Game Boy’s ghosting, but there’s something weirdly charming about how shamelessly unfair it gets.
Not gonna lie, it’s more of a novelty than a must-play, but if you’ve got nostalgia for early Marvel handheld messes, this one’s a trip. Just don’t throw your Game Boy across the room when you hit the fifth instant-death trap in a row.
