Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS is one of those games that makes you forget you're holding a tiny handheld. You're Samus, but not just blasting through corridors—this time, you're up against six other bounty hunters, all gunning for the same ancient power. The controls take a second to click (using the stylus to aim feels weird at first), but once they do, the firefights get seriously tense.

What surprised me was how much personality the rival hunters have—each has their own weapons and playstyle, like the sniper-heavy Noxus or the sneaky Weavel. The single-player’s a bit thin, but the local multiplayer? That’s where this game shines. I lost hours to 4-player matches in the school cafeteria back in the day. The levels are these weird, twisting alien arenas where you’re constantly scrambling for better weapons while dodging shots.

It’s not perfect—the framerate chugs sometimes—but for a handheld FPS from 2006, it’s kind of insane they pulled this off. If you’ve got a DS and a friend who’s up for some chaos, it’s still a blast.
