Crash - Mind Over Mutant on DS is basically classic Crash chaos with a twist—this time, you’re not just platforming, you’re brain-jacking mutants to fight for you. Yeah, it’s as weird as it sounds. The first thing you’ll notice is how chunky the sprites are (typical DS era), but the controls are tight, and bouncing on crates still feels satisfying.
You start off in this jungle area, smacking little critters and hopping between platforms like old times, but then bam—you hijack your first mutant. Some of them are useless, but others, like the big bruiser types, actually make combat way less annoying. Cortex’s usual nonsense is here too, with his weird machines and goofy minions trying to stop you.
It’s not the deepest Crash game, but if you miss that PS1-era vibe with a dash of DS jank, it’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s more of a "turn your brain off and enjoy the ride" kind of game.
