LEGO Ninjago on DS is basically what you'd expect from a LEGO game—goofy, colorful, and packed with simple but satisfying combat. You start off picking one of the ninja (I went with Kai because fire powers, obviously) and immediately get thrown into smashing crates, flipping switches, and pulling off Spinjitzu moves that look way cooler than they have any right to on the tiny screen.
The puzzles aren’t brain-melters, but they’re just tricky enough to make you pause for a second before realizing, "Oh, I just needed to throw a shuriken at that lever." And yeah, the LEGO charm is there—enemies explode into little plastic bits, and there’s that same dumb humor where characters mime everything instead of talking.
It’s not gonna blow your mind, but if you’ve got a soft spot for LEGO games or just want something to kill time between bus rides, it does the job. The DS version’s a bit stripped down compared to consoles, but it’s still a solid pocket-sized brawler.
