MegaMan Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar is the last (and honestly one of the best) entries in the GBA series. You’re back as Lan, running around the real world while MegaMan.exe fights in cyberspace—but this time, things get wild when he accidentally absorbs data from Gregar, one of two legendary Cybeasts. Suddenly, you’ve got this insane "Beast Out" mode that turns MegaMan into a raging, fire-breathing monster for a short burst. It’s ridiculously overpowered, but you’ll need it—some of the late-game fights are brutal.
If you’ve played earlier Battle Network games, the core loop is still there: jack into computers, fight viruses in grid-based battles, and tweak MegaMan’s abilities with the Navi Customizer. But the big change here is how Cross transformations work—no more sacrificing BattleChips to fuse with other Navis. Now you can swap forms freely, which makes experimenting with different playstyles way more fun. And yeah, the Beast Out mechanic? It’s as cool as it sounds, even if it’s a little broken.
New city, new NetNavis to meet (and fight), and some legit tough boss battles. If you’re into this series, Gregar’s version is the one to grab—it just feels like they polished everything to near-perfection here.
