Shin Megami Tensei - Devil Children - Puzzle De Call (j)(batman) Game
📅 2003 ✍️ Atlus

Okay, so Devil Children: Puzzle de Call is one of those weird little GBA spin-offs from the Shin Megami Tensei universe—except instead of demon negotiations and apocalyptic vibes, you're dropping colored blocks. Yeah, it's a puzzle game, but with a SMT skin. You match tiles to summon monsters (because of course you do), and some of them even have their familiar designs from the main games.
At first, it feels like a standard match-3, but then you realize the demon fusions are actually kinda strategic. Do you go for quick matches to build meter, or hold out for bigger combos to summon stronger creatures? The music's got that classic SMT eerie synth thing going on, which is hilarious when you're just trying to line up some tiles.
It's definitely niche, but if you're into SMT and don't mind a lighter take on the franchise, it's a fun little time-waster. Just don't expect Persona-level storytelling here.
