Super Mario Advance 2 : Super Mario World Game

Super Mario Advance 2 is basically the GBA version of Super Mario World—you know, the SNES classic—but with a few tweaks. At first, I thought it’d just be a straight port, but they added some voice clips (mostly Yoshi noises and Mario’s "Mamma mia!"), which are kinda charming at first but might get old if you’re replaying levels. The controls feel tight, though, and the colors pop even on the small screen.
You start off in Yoshi’s Island, bouncing on goombas and finding secret exits like usual. The cape power-up is still my favorite—nothing beats gliding over entire sections like some kind of flying plumber. And yeah, you can still ride Yoshi, though the GBA’s smaller screen means you’ll sometimes miss jumps because you couldn’t see pits coming. Still, it’s a solid way to play one of the best Mario games ever if you’re on the go.
Oh, and they threw in the original Mario Bros. arcade game as a bonus, which is neat for nostalgia but not why you’re here. You’re here for the ghost houses and star road secrets.
