MegaMan Battle Network 3 White Version is one of those GBA gems that still holds up. You play as Lan and his NetNavi MegaMan, diving into a mix of real-world exploration and grid-based battles where you slot in attack chips mid-fight—kinda like a deckbuilder but way more frantic. The White Version has some exclusive chips and a different endgame boss compared to Blue, so if you're into collecting everything, that's gonna nag at you.
First 10 minutes? You're running around your school, jacking into random electronics, and immediately getting into fights where positioning matters almost as much as your chip combos. The internet areas look like neon wireframes straight out of '90s cyberpunk, and the soundtrack? Absolute bangers. Just don't expect the story to take itself too seriously—it's got that classic anime "power of friendship" cheese, but in a way that somehow works.
If you're emulating, the controls translate surprisingly well to touchscreens, though I'd still recommend a controller for those tight boss fights.
