Top Gear Rally on the GBA is basically a stripped-down version of the N64 racer, but honestly? It holds up better than you'd expect. The tracks are tight, the handling's surprisingly responsive for a handheld racer, and that signature Top Gear drift-heavy physics model somehow works even on the tiny screen.
You start with a basic car that feels like it's made of wet cardboard, but after a few races you're unlocking new rides that actually grip the road. The rally stages throw everything at you—mud, snow, tight hairpins—and the AI doesn't just roll over. I wiped out more times than I'd like to admit trying to shave seconds off my time in the jungle tracks.
It's not perfect (the music loops get old fast), but for a pocket-sized arcade rally fix, it's weirdly addictive. Just don't expect N64-level graphics—this is pure gameplay over polish.
