Man, Top Gear on SNES is one of those racing games that just feels right. You pick from a handful of cars—nothing crazy, just solid 90s speed machines—and then it’s straight into racing through these bright, colorful tracks that somehow make pixelated deserts and cities look cool. The handling’s a little slippery at first, but once you get the hang of nudging your car around corners without spinning out, it’s pure arcade fun.

What really sticks with me is the music. That synth-heavy soundtrack kicks in the second you hit the gas, and suddenly you’re leaning into turns like it’s an actual race. No frills, no complicated upgrades—just you, the road, and the occasional jerk AI that rams you from behind. It’s simple in the best way possible. If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school racers, this one’s a no-brainer.
