Top Gear (snes) Game

Top Gear on SNES is one of those old-school racers that feels simple at first—just pick a car and go—but then you realize how much the handling matters. The tracks are straight shots with sharp turns, and if you don’t brake just right, you’re slamming into walls or spinning out. The music’s got that classic SNES synth vibe, all fast-paced and cheesy in the best way.
You start with a slow, clunky car, but after a few races, you earn cash to upgrade or buy something faster. I always went for the mid-range option first—the starter car’s a slog, but the high-end ones feel like they’re on ice until you get used to them. The AI’s not too brutal, but they’ll absolutely punish you if you mess up a corner.
It’s not fancy by today’s standards, but there’s something satisfying about nailing a perfect lap and hearing that engine whine as you hit top speed. Still holds up if you’re into retro racers.
