Super Princess Peach flips the script—this time, you're saving Mario, and honestly? It’s about time. The game’s got that classic Nintendo platforming feel, but with a twist: Peach’s emotions actually power her moves. Get mad to light stuff on fire, stay calm to float gently down—sounds weird, but it works.
The levels are bright, bouncy, and packed with little secrets if you poke around. I kept forgetting to use the right emotion at first (why is "crying" helpful?!), but once it clicks, you start cheesing puzzles in ways that feel weirdly satisfying. Also, the DS mic gimmicks are there, but mercifully optional.
It’s not the hardest platformer out there, but the charm and sheer novelty of playing as an emotionally volatile Peach make it stand out. Mario’s lucky she puts up with this much.
