Okay, so The Simpsons Game on DS is basically like playing through a lost episode where the family realizes they're in a video game—and it's as meta and ridiculous as that sounds. You swap between Homer, Bart, Marge, and Lisa, each with their own dumb powers (Homer turns into a rolling ball of fat, obviously).
First thing you'll notice? The writing actually feels like the show, not some cheap knockoff. They nailed the humor—expect fourth-wall breaks, Springfield landmarks you actually want to explore, and bosses like a giant Mr. Sparkle mascot. The puzzles are simple but fun, like using Bart's slingshot to hit switches or Lisa's Buddha hand to move stuff telekinetically.
It's janky in that classic licensed-game way (platforming can be iffy), but if you grew up with the Simpsons, the charm totally carries it. You’ll probably finish it in a weekend, but it’s a solid couch play for fans.
