Ever played one of those old-school Sokoban games where you push boxes around like a warehouse worker with a puzzle addiction? Shijou Saidai No Soukoban is that, but cranked up—it’s got some of the trickiest mazes I’ve seen in a 16-bit puzzler. The first few levels ease you in, lulling you into thinking, "Oh, this is cute," and then suddenly you’re staring at a screen full of crates, sweating over one wrong move that’ll trap you forever.
What I love is how clean it feels—no flashy distractions, just you, some grids, and that satisfying *clunk* when a crate slides into place. The Genesis version’s got this chunky, colorful look that somehow makes shoving boxes around for an hour feel like an achievement. And yeah, you’ll get stuck. A lot. But that moment when a solution clicks? Pure gold.
Fair warning: keep a notepad handy. Some of these puzzles are brutal in the best way.
