MegaMan ZX Advent is one of those DS games that feels like it got lost in the shuffle, which is a shame because it’s actually a solid mix of classic MegaMan action with some fresh twists. You pick either Grey or Ashe—both play differently enough that it’s worth replaying as the other—and then it’s all about blasting through levels, absorbing enemy abilities (yeah, like the old-school MegaMan stuff), and figuring out which powers work best where.
The biometal transformations are the real hook here—you’re not just stuck with one moveset. One minute you’re dashing through tight corridors as a speed-type, the next you’re sniping enemies from a distance. The controls take a second to get used to, but once it clicks, chaining moves together feels great. And the bosses? Classic MegaMan difficulty—some will wreck you until you memorize their patterns.
If you’re into tight platforming with a side of experimentation, this one’s a hidden gem on the DS.
