Ever wanted to be a wizard in a world where every spell feels like unlocking a secret? That’s Incantation on SNES. You start off with just a basic fireball—nothing fancy—but within a few levels, you’re mixing potions, summoning weird little familiars, and bouncing between floating islands like some kind of magical parkour expert.
The pixel art’s got that warm, 16-bit glow, and the music? Pure nostalgia. Some of the puzzles had me scratching my head (why does this door only open if I turn into a frog first?), but figuring them out feels like cracking a code. And yeah, the platforming can get tricky—those disappearing blocks don’t mess around.
If you miss the days when games didn’t hold your hand and every new spell felt like a reward, this one’s got that old-school charm in spades.
