Okay, so The Amazing Spider-Man on DS is basically you cramming the whole web-slinging fantasy into a tiny screen—and somehow, it kinda works. You start off dropping into a scaled-down New York, and yeah, swinging feels a little stiff at first (it is a DS game), but after a few minutes you get the rhythm of tapping to shoot webs and flinging yourself between buildings. Combat’s simple but satisfying—punching thugs, dodging attacks, occasionally yanking a guy’s gun away with a web. The story’s your usual Spidey fare—stop bad guys, crack jokes—but there’s something weirdly charming about seeing it all play out in chunky DS graphics. Not gonna lie, the camera fights you sometimes when you’re indoors, but swinging past pixelated billboards? Still feels cool. If you’ve got nostalgia for handheld superhero games, this one’s a solid time-killer.
