A Bug's Life game

So, A Bug's Life on N64—yeah, it's one of those late '90s movie tie-ins, but honestly? It's way better than it had any right to be. You play as Flik, this awkward little ant who keeps accidentally wrecking the colony’s food stash (oops), and the whole thing feels like a weird mix of platforming and light puzzle-solving. The levels are these big, chunky 3D spaces where you’re rolling seeds, dodging grasshoppers, and occasionally recruiting other bugs to help out.

First thing you’ll notice: the colors. Everything’s super bright, like someone cranked the saturation up to max. The ant hill feels cozy in that low-poly N64 way, and the outdoor areas have this hazy, sun-drenched look that’s weirdly nostalgic. Controls are a little stiff—typical for the era—but once you get used to hopping on leaves and pushing stuff around, it’s kinda satisfying. Also, the grasshoppers? Way more intimidating when you’re ant-sized.

It’s not gonna blow your mind, but if you’re into weird little platformers from this era, it’s a fun time. Just don’t expect it to hold up like Banjo-Kazooie or anything.
