Mario Kart 64 game

Mario Kart 64 is the game that ruined friendships in my dorm room back in the day—in the best way possible. You pick your favorite Nintendo character (I always went with Yoshi, no shame), grab a banana peel or a blue shell, and suddenly you're screaming at your buddies as you slide around Rainbow Road for the hundredth time. The tracks are wild—some have shortcuts you’ll miss at first, others have sneaky jumps that’ll send you flying off course if you’re not careful.

It’s simple to pick up but brutal to master, especially when someone nails you with a red shell right before the finish line. The music still slaps, too—that DK Jungle Parkway theme lives in my head rent-free. If you’ve got friends nearby, the split-screen multiplayer is pure chaos in the best way. Just don’t throw your controller when you lose.
