Jikkyou World Soccer 3 is one of those N64 soccer games that actually feels good to play—unlike some of the clunky early attempts on the system. The controls are smooth, and the players move with a nice weight to them, not like they're skating on ice. You’ve got a solid selection of international teams, and the graphics hold up surprisingly well for an N64 sports title.
What I like is how it balances arcade-style speed with just enough realism. You can pull off slick passes and long shots without it feeling like a full-on sim, but it’s not totally brainless either. The commentary’s in Japanese, obviously, but the energy comes through even if you don’t understand a word. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re into retro soccer games.
