Utchan Nanchan No Hono No Challenger : Denryuu Ira Ira Bou (j) Game
📅 1997 ✍️ Hudson Soft

Okay, so Utchan Nanchan no Hono no Challenger is one of those weird, frantic Japanese puzzle games that feels like someone crossed a maze with an electric fence. You control these little dudes (Utchan and Nanchan, I guess?) and have to guide them through these obstacle courses without getting zapped by live wires or falling off platforms. It sounds simple until you realize the controls are just slippery enough to make every jump feel sketchy.
The whole thing has this chaotic energy—like, one wrong move and your character goes flying into a trap while the game makes this ridiculous buzzer noise at you. There’s something oddly satisfying about finally nailing a tricky section after failing it ten times in a row. Definitely more of a "rage-quit-but-then-immediately-retry" kind of game.
If you’re into obscure N64 imports or just enjoy masochistic puzzle-platformers, this one’s a weird little gem. Just don’t blame me when you start yelling at your screen.
