Time Killers on the Genesis is one of those weird, janky fighting games from the '90s that somehow sticks with you. You pick a warrior—some are cyborgs, others look like they stepped out of a Conan comic—and then just start hacking away at each other across different time periods. The weapons are ridiculous (chainsaws, swords, claws), and the blood sprays everywhere in that classic pixelated way.
It’s not exactly balanced—some moves feel borderline unfair—but there’s something weirdly satisfying about the clunky combat. The stages change from prehistoric jungles to futuristic cities mid-fight, which keeps things chaotic. I always end up picking the samurai guy because his sword reach is stupidly long, but good luck landing a hit if your opponent spams the jump attack.
Definitely more fun with a friend than against the AI, though. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—this is pure button-mashing nostalgia.
