Super Star Wars - Return of the Jedi on SNES is basically the best way to relive the movie without digging out your VHS tapes. You start off as Luke, slashing stormtroopers with your lightsaber (which feels way more satisfying than it should), and before long you're bouncing between speeder bikes on Endor and taking on Jabba's goons in his gross little palace.
The pixel art still holds up—those TIE fighters swooping in during the Death Star trench run? Chills. Just don't expect a cakewalk. Some of those platforming sections are brutal, especially when you're playing as Leia and have to time jumps perfectly between collapsing walkways. And yeah, the Rancor pit is just as terrifying in 16-bit.
It's got that classic '90s difficulty curve where you'll die a lot, but nailing a perfect lightsaber combo or finally beating Boba Fett makes it worth the rage. If you grew up with Star Wars or just love punishing-but-fair action games, this one's a blast. Just keep a spare controller handy for when you inevitably yeet yours across the room.
