Super Princess Peach is one of those rare Nintendo DS gems where Peach finally gets to be the hero—and she’s way more fun to play than I expected. Instead of just jumping on Goombas, she uses her emotions (joy, rage, gloom, you name it) to solve puzzles and wreck Bowser’s minions. Joy makes her float like a balloon, rage turns her into a fireball—it’s weirdly satisfying to burn through enemies after they’ve kidnapped Mario for once.
The levels are bright, bouncy, and full of little secrets if you experiment with her powers. I kept getting stuck at first because I forgot gloom could make plants grow or that crying on a fire would put it out. It’s got that classic Nintendo charm, but with a twist that actually makes you think differently. Also, the umbrella weapon? Way cooler than it sounds.
If you’ve ever wanted to see Peach throw a tantrum and set everything on fire, this is your game.
