Man, this one takes me back. Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six on Game Boy Color is that perfect mix of janky and awesome—you’re swinging through blocky NYC streets, barely making some jumps, then suddenly you’re face-to-face with freaking Doctor Octopus. The controls take a second to get used to (good luck nailing those web swings at first), but once it clicks, you feel like Spider-Man in that weird, low-res way only a GBC game can pull off.

Fighting the Sinister Six means bouncing between villains—Sandman’s a pain when he turns into a dust storm, and Electro? Yeah, good luck with that one. The boss fights are surprisingly creative for such a tiny cartridge. It’s got that classic comic-book vibe where every level throws something new at you, even if the graphics are basically colored blobs at this point.

Not gonna lie, it’s rough around the edges by today’s standards, but there’s something charming about how hard it tries to cram Spidey’s whole world into a Game Boy. If you’ve got nostalgia for this era, it’s still a blast to revisit.
