Okay, so this is the Game Boy Color version of Spider-Man—Japan got a slightly different take compared to the PS1 game. It’s still got that comic book vibe, but scaled down for handheld. You’re swinging (well, more like jumping) through levels, punching thugs, and yeah, most of Spidey’s classic villains show up at some point. No Stan Lee narration here, though—just some solid 8-bit action that’s surprisingly fun for a GBC title.

Controls take a second to get used to, especially the web-swinging, but once it clicks, you’ll be bouncing off walls and dodging Green Goblin’s bombs like it’s second nature. The boss fights are the highlight—each one feels like a mini puzzle where you figure out their pattern before unloading on them. Not bad for a tiny cartridge.
