Super Mario Special 3 on the Game Boy Color is one of those weird, unofficial Mario games that feels like a bootleg remix of the classics. You’ve got the usual running and jumping, but the physics are just slightly off—like Mario’s a little too floaty or the enemies move in odd patterns. It’s not bad, just… different.
The levels are short and kinda repetitive, but there’s something charming about the janky sprite work and the way it tries to cram in ideas from other Mario games. If you’re into obscure retro oddities, it’s a fun little curiosity. Just don’t expect it to play like the real deal.
