I remember picking up PowerPuff Girls: Battle Him for my Game Boy Color back in 2001. It was developed by Saffire, a studio that worked on a number of licensed titles for the system. This was during that era where you'd find all sorts of cartoon games on the handheld, and this one let you step into the super-powered shoes of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup.

You control one of the three girls, switching between them to use their unique abilities as you fight through levels. The main goal is to stop the villainous Him from taking over Townsville. You explore areas screen by screen, punching and kicking a variety of enemies, and each character has a special projectile attack, like Blossom's ice breath. You also collect ingredients to create Chemical X, which powers up your team. The game moves at a quick pace, and some of the later enemy patterns can be tricky to dodge. It feels like a straightforward brawler that captures the simple, energetic action of the cartoon.
