So, Powerpuff Girls: Paint the Townsville Green—yeah, it's the second GBC game after Battle HIM, but honestly? It's way more fun. You jump around Townsville smacking monsters with Buttercup’s fists, Bubbles’… bubbles, and Blossom’s laser eyes. The sprites are tiny but weirdly charming, and the music’s got that bouncy Cartoon Network vibe.
First level throws you right into it—some goo monster’s wrecking a park, and you’re just punching robots between floating platforms. Switching between the girls feels clunky at first (why does Bubbles’ attack have such a weird delay?), but once you get the rhythm, it’s satisfying. Also, the "paint" gimmick? You’re literally splashing color back onto grayscale levels, which is a neat touch.
Not gonna lie, it’s short and definitely for kids, but if you’re into retro licensed games, this one’s got personality. The final boss is a gloriously dumb giant Mojo Jojo mech.
