Web of Shadows on DS is one of those Spidey games that actually gets the swinging right—you’ll feel the momentum as you fling yourself between buildings, and the touchscreen makes pulling off quick web shots weirdly satisfying. The city’s not huge, but there’s enough verticality to make rooftop chases feel frantic.
Combat’s a mix of button mashing and stylus swipes, which sounds gimmicky but works better than you’d think. The symbiote stuff adds some fun chaos—one minute you’re doing acrobatic flips, the next you’re slamming goons into walls with tendrils. Story’s pretty barebones compared to the console version, but hey, it’s a DS game where you can uppercut a thug into a billboard. That’s gotta count for something.
