So, The Sims 2: Castaway on DS is basically what happens when you take regular Sims and drop them on a tropical island with nothing but a loincloth and some serious survival instincts. You start off shipwrecked—classic—and suddenly you're foraging for coconuts, building a rickety shelter, and trying not to freak out when a wild boar charges at you. (Yeah, that happened to me.)
It’s not just about staying alive, though. There’s this whole mystery about the island, weird ruins, and other survivors who might help you… or steal your food. The crafting system is surprisingly deep—I spent way too long figuring out how to turn vines into a decent fishing rod. And if you’ve ever wanted to see a Sim panic because they can’t find a bathroom on a deserted island, well, here’s your chance.
It’s janky in that early DS way, but weirdly addictive once you get into the rhythm of island life. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—sometimes you’ll starve because you picked the wrong berries.
