Mischief Makers is one of those weird, wonderful N64 gems that never got enough love. You play as Marina, a tiny robot maid who can grab enemies, shake them like a soda can, and toss them across the screen—which is way more satisfying than it sounds. The levels are packed with bizarre puzzles where you’ll be throwing bombs, riding giant hamsters, and dodging some truly ridiculous boss fights (one involves a literal train made of sushi).
The art style’s got this chunky, colorful charm that holds up surprisingly well, and the controls are tight once you get used to the whole "grab-and-shake" thing. It’s not your typical platformer—half the time you’re solving puzzles by hurling things at the right target or timing your shakes just right. Gets surprisingly tricky later on, too.
If you missed this back in the day, it’s worth digging up just for how unabashedly weird it is.
