MegaMan Star Force - Dragon is one of those DS RPGs that feels like a weird but fun mashup of classic MegaMan and a card battler. You start off as Geo Stelar, a kid who gets pulled into this whole "EM Wave World" thing and, of course, ends up fusing with MegaMan to fight viruses and rogue programs.
The combat’s got this card-based system where you pick your attacks from a shuffled deck—kinda like Battle Network but with a different rhythm. At first, I kept misjudging the timing, but once you get the hang of it, chaining combos feels pretty satisfying. And yeah, the Dragon transformation is as over-the-top as it sounds—flaming slashes, screen-filling attacks, the works.
Story’s got that classic anime-kid-saves-the-world vibe, complete with school drama and secret identities. Not gonna lie, some of the dialogue is cheesy, but it’s the kind of cheese that grows on you. If you ever played Battle Network and wished it was a little flashier, this one’s worth a shot.
