Marko Game

Marko on the Sega Genesis is one of those underrated platformers that feels like it got lost in the '90s shuffle. You control this little dude—basically a pixelated acrobat—bouncing between platforms, dodging spikes, and taking out weird enemies with… well, whatever he’s throwing (honestly, it looks like marbles). The first level throws you right into it: tight jumps, enemies that pop up out of nowhere, and this weirdly satisfying chiptune soundtrack.
It’s not as polished as Sonic or as punishingly hard as some of the tougher Genesis titles, but there’s something charming about how straightforward it is. No tutorials, no hand-holding—just run, jump, and figure it out. The later levels get pretty creative with moving platforms and enemies that actually require some timing to avoid. If you dig old-school platformers that don’t overcomplicate things, Marko’s worth a spin.
